The "Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching" (PAEMST) is now open for nominations.  This award is presented to teachers in grades K-6 who have demonstrated excellence in math or science teaching.  Each state can have one awardee in math and one in science.  Applications will open in November 2011 and will be due May 1, 2012. Nominations may be made now at www.paemst.org.
